My name is Hien Mai. I am 20 years old, and I am currently a sophomore at Penn State Hazleton.
I moved from Germany to the United States around 4 years ago. That must have been the toughest moment in my life - moving to a completely different continent. I wasn't fluent in English either, so it was a big challenge for me. I was in a culture shock for quite some time, and I didn't really start to open up until probably Junior year of my High School career. I started to feel more comfortable and my English also improved by a lot. And now here I am; in my second year as a college student. I still can't believe it. Even though the past four years haven't been easy, I am thankful for where I am now.
